Local 81 Skills Bootcamp
IMPORTANT: THE SIGN-UP FORM IS OPEN FOR THE OCTOBER 2023 SYRACUSE BOOTCAMP.
The Local 81 Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee is excited to offer sessions of our Skills Bootcamp. This three day event will be available to all current applicants of the Local 81 apprenticeship program. It is also available to individuals in sponsored programs.
This hands on skills development program provides an opportunity for applicants to gain trade knowledge and exposure to the requirements of the Plumbing, Pipefitting and HVAR trade.

You must meet the following requirements:
- Must have an application on file with our training department or be an active member of a sponsored training program
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the training center.
- Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
- Must be comfortable working at heights.
Eligibility will be first come, first serve. You must register for the bootcamp at the training campus where you filled out your application. You are required to be dressed appropriately. Portions of this program are conducted outdoors so you must bring weather appropriate attire. Jeans or work pants & safety shoes are required. You must bring a bag lunch and have a water bottle. All personal protective equipment will be provided. We reserve the right to deem someone ineligible if they don't meet the requirements.
For participants under 18 years of age you must request a waiver application from the training department. You need approval from a parent as well as the career counselor of your respective training facility.
